abstract = "The Cerrado biome in relation to the others Brazilian biomes
(Amaz{\^o}nia, Caatinga, Mata Atl{\^a}ntica, Pampa and Pantanl)
is the most affect by burns. The fires have several consequences
for the biome, as the increasing of temperature, decreasing
rainfall, genetic impoverishment of natural species, increases the
risk of respiratory diseases and others. For mapping burns areas
on the Cerrado biome referring to the year 2007 was use the MODIS
MCD45A1 product, which makes the mapping of the burns scars on
global scale. The validation of the mapping of MCD45A1 product for
the year 2007 was realized using 35 images or 16 orbit/point
LANDSAT TM between the months August and October. Between the
results, we found that 100% of the polygon of the burn areas
(MCD45A1) analyzed was labeled positive.",
